title: serial killers or law?

I am currently reading a book about serial killers.

There was this thought as I was reading the ending:

This serial killer (S.K) killed this man named A. This makes S.K the murderer.
S.K was caught, brought to the court. He was found guilty.
The judge sentenced him to death, in the name of 'law'.
This makes the 'law' or the judge the murderer of the S.K who murdered A.
Then the person who hung S.K, killed S.K in the name of the judge and 'law'.

Now, the judge, 'law', or the person who hung S.K is the murderer of the murderer?

Crazy thoughts do come in the middle of the night.
