title: assignment.holiday.assignment.

VR Assignment 1: To create a panorama.
I didn't know its that hard. But oh well, it was one good experience. I felt the joy upon accomplishing it (:

HOLIDAY:
One of my best friend came back from Durham a week ago.
Spent my mid sem break with him.
There was this ONE fine day, we decided to spend our day like a rich kid.
Awesome experience, but load of heart ache for spending..

1. Watched Despicable Me in 3D. We would love to have one of those minions :D
2. Ate lunch @ Kiku Zakura, the bill came up at 120++
3. Bought a blouse @ G2k, rm280.
4. Dinner @ Itallianies, rm100++

Total spent....
It was over 500 with jockey parking, toll, ice-cream and popcorns.

I'm never doing this, again.

Next, we went back to our high school to celebrate our form teacher's birthday!

title: hostel, good or bad?

This was a bad experience. I was travelling up and down from Subang to cyber for 3 weeks because I couldn't apply for hostel until the 3rd week.

First 3 weeks was all good sleep, good drive, good food, good girl studying, do assignment and minimum gaming.
When I finally got in the hostel, Cybertracker la, Counter strike la, Maple la, crysis la, movie la, j-drama la.
In the end, I've been sleeping at 7 or 8am in the morning, skipped last weeks class. ALL of them.
S&*t.

Then, on Monday, sama je la. And I decided not to sleep on tuesday to stay awake until class finishes. Yet I can't resist the pillows. I went on and slept til 2/3pm.

This is my routine for this 10 days:
Sleep, wake up, eat, game, watch movie, facebook, watch movie, game, sleep.
Oh and a little bit of assignment in between facebook and movie.

Bad routine erika, bad routine ='(

title: serial killers or law?

I am currently reading a book about serial killers.

There was this thought as I was reading the ending:

This serial killer (S.K) killed this man named A. This makes S.K the murderer.
S.K was caught, brought to the court. He was found guilty.
The judge sentenced him to death, in the name of 'law'.
This makes the 'law' or the judge the murderer of the S.K who murdered A.
Then the person who hung S.K, killed S.K in the name of the judge and 'law'.

Now, the judge, 'law', or the person who hung S.K is the murderer of the murderer?

Crazy thoughts do come in the middle of the night.

title: Second Life #2 [Kowloon]

I have never been to the 'real' Kowloon before. But as from movies, they are always crowded and noisy.

But in Second Life, there's only sound effects of things.
As I was walking down a road, I can hear the lights blinking and music from one shop to another.
It was... Scary

I was all alone and its always night in there.
There's too many buildings and alleys.
I went up one of the building rooms and there were people inside talking.
Literally, using microphones.
I can hear them from different angles and different places (inside and outside)

They just need to plants some streetlights in Kowloon.

title: IMAX

We learned via theory that IMAX theater is 2 to 3 times bigger than a "regular" movie theater.
It would've been a very astonishing experience if it was really an IMAX film.
In an IMAX theater, the best seat (theoretically) is in the middle.
Prince of persia was not in IMAX film format, and it was a little disappointing. But the film was definitely larger than the regular one. The theater space was very comfortable. Yet the excess screen space made it look weird...

I've watched this movie in GSC a week ago and watching it the second time made me realize some other things. I get to interpret it in a different manner. Yet there are some scenes in the movie that doesn't make sense at all.
Example: There was a scene where Prince Dastan was going to kiss Princess Tamina, in the middle OF A WAR. (This is just simply ridiculous)
But the story was clear and obvious, a little too much explanation from Tamina though.
She was the one telling the audience what is happening the whole time.
It gets a little "fake" from the ostrich race part.

As long as they don't leave a walkie talkie in the middle of the palace table, the movie is good.

Title: Demolition of Pudu Jail

As I was watching the video of it being torn down, I couldn't stop my tears from rolling down.
One of Malaysia's oldest heritage, torn down in pieces.
I used to pass by there once a week and thought about what is inside it.

I regret not visiting it.
I regret not being able to be there at its very last moment.
I regret not protesting against the act.

I realize my children will never see it.
I realize I'll never be able to touch it
I realize I love my country so much.

Now the wall. I believe in the near future they will tear down everything.
Some people think its an eyesore.
To me, its a significant, money-can't-buy treasure.

I wish I could get a piece of it.

Title: Second Life #1 [Greenies Home]

*On one of the cabinets (dance floor)*
Finally, one fine midnight with good internet speed.
Managed to visit one place without lag and slow browsing.

GREENIES HOME!
Its one heck of an experience.
I get to feel how is it like to be Jack when he's at the giant's lair.
Everything looks SO HUGE! It was fun because I got to see a house in a different perspective.
On the other hand, its hard to navigate because the place is just too big!
I got lost in the living room =(
I was in the middle of it and couldn't see the end of the room.
Gosh it was so freaky. It was like in space where you can see no end.

[FIRST VISIT]
... to Second Life was bad. Due to my very "good" Screamyx connection, it takes 10/15 seconds to load one side of the wall.
It took me 5 minutes to load Numbakulla and I gave up.
I already adjusted it to lowest quality yet its still slow.

The tutorial of it was... not very good.
Its really messy, like you couldn't get to the next tutorial if you follow the wrong arrow.

[Changing looks]
TOOK ME FOREVER. *clicks default*
And I realize people can actually get naked, like literally naked.

[People]
Some of the people are really nice. I made a few friends.
One from Japan and a few from New York.
We were all typing (or Google Translating) Japanese.
It IS a new experience and I got quite addicted to it. *the Google Translating part*

Thats all for today!

GOD BLESS GOOGLE!
